Back on Track

So after ages of absence, guess who's back?
I surely haven't quit on animation! After the Raving Rabbids I worked on the new episodes of Calimero, a character I've been following ever since my childhood, so working on this iconic character has been quite a blast from the past, although not easy at all. After that I moved back to Rainbow CGI to work on the second season of Mia and Me, and right now I'm in Vienna working on the brand new 10' episodes of the world's most beloved cat (okay okay, right after Tom & Jerry, Sylvester, Grumpy, Keyboard Cat, Simon's Cat.... okay I'm done), Talking Tom & Friends! The pilot episode has been online since Christmas and gained so many views, so the project is definitely alive and kicking. I'm also working on more peronal project which will hopefully see the light soon enough. I will keep you posted!

Dinosaurs short: Wrap Party!

Here are the pictures we took at that super-awesome wrap party we had last month to celebrate the completion of the Jim-Henson memorial short "I'm the Baby - Gotta Love Me!"

The whole soirée has been great fun and many new ideas came out for the future projects. We toasted to the short and Jim Henson himself, may he rest in peace forever. Too bad many of us weren't able to join the party, but oh well. It was like they were there. :)

After 8 months of hard work, we are proud to show you our ultimate tribute to Jim Henson: "I'm the Baby, gotta love me!" is a CG animated short featuring two famous character from one on JH's most succesful shows, "Dinosaurs". Due to unknown reasons (probably because of the series' finale) the serie hasn't been shown around on TV for many many years, and the characters ended up forgotten. We wanted to praise Henson's work and make these characters raise again at the same time. This is how we did it. We hope you enjoy!!

P.S. There are 5 muppetational easter eggs in the short. Have fun and search for them all!

Hiya all,
I'm very glad (and honored!) to announce two main amazing news I have in store for you:

I'm having a great time animating on both, and I feel like I've been learning a lot. Plus, all the guys there at RBW CGI are extremely kind. Long story short, let's just say that I'm living my dream. :D
Wait, there's more: remember the old Jim Henson/Disney TV serie called Dinosaurs? Well, some workmates and I are doing a 1.30' CG animated short based upon those characters. Gotta love'em!

Whoo-hoo! Hey guys! Are you ready to meet Clive, the most handsome and loyal British gentle-bull you've ever seen? He also had a very good taste in picking friends. His BFF is that cute little skinny coyote over there, the name's Drake. Well, what's wrong with that, you might ask. Easy: Clive is supposed to guard over a farm house, instead Drake is hungry all the time so he got used to stealing other's food... Got it now?

At long last, here's the first official poster from the movie I've been working on the whole year at Palantir Digital. "L'Arrivo di Wang" is a sci-fi movie directed by Marco and Antonio Manetti who also directed several movies, clips and TV series. The movie will premiere this September at Venice Film Festival 2011. After that, I really hope I'll be able to show at least a few of all the hundreds of shots I did for the movie. There's more on the way (one trailer and a couple clips will also be released) so stay tuned for more.

This is my second interpretation of Tangled. Hope you all enjoy.

I thought it would be fun to re-animate some random scenes from Disney's feature film "Tangled" my own way. Indeed, it was SUPER FUN!

The Nico Rig

This time the rig is a mythological character I really enjoyed to animate. All you need to do is throw a stick and say 'FETCH!' Nico will bring it back immediately.

So many projects

I'm working on 3 differents projects right now (I know, that's crazy) the first one I'm about to start is the VFX of a sci-fi feature film at Palantir Digital, Rome -I'm going to talk about this later on- the second one is the 2009/2010 Scuola Comics's new short 'Tico & Loco' of which I'm the lead animator -almost done!- and the third one is a CG animated serial set in the ice age, here are some stills from the main location.
