THE UGLY DINO

Ta-dah! This is the latest feature I'm working at. It's almost 10 times more complicated than Friend Of Mine: more characters, more places, and better animation. THE UGLY DINO tells the same story of the Ugly Duckling, but it's set in the Jurassic age. One rainy night, a small T-Rex egg rolls away from his nest and accidentally lands in the nest of a female Pteranodon called Chelsea. Once the egg hatchs up, Chelsea and her nestlings are astonished wondering what that small T-rex was doing there. Inevitably, Chelsea just can't help loving that cute cub, and decides to parent him. But every other dinosaur is scared by the small T-rex, who starts feeling predator instincts. Things get worse when the cub meets Arnold, a huge Tirannosaurus who begins to hunt him down, forcing the poor dinosaur to leave the valley. Will the real cub's mother and Chelsea be able to save the day before it's too late?
THE UGLY DINO will be out next October, and I would like it to partecipate in famous animation contests like AniBOOM and CORTOONS. In the meantime, have a look at this wallpaper!

I live in the woods...

"Where nothing is as it seems..." like Todd Edwars sang, but that's not the title of the image. This Jurassic jungle is one of the several sets I created for my new short, on which I still can't say anything... The reason is simple: once the short is complete, I'm going to send it to CORTOONS, and I can't wait them to organize the next contest (spring 2010). I do hope it will get the pass, so lot of people from all over te world will watch my short on the big screen! I'm working hard while waiting them to update the site. Wish me luck.

What is 'Friend Of Mine'?

Friend Of Mine is a 3D short set in the wilderness of Antarctica mountains. It is about a 12 years-old boy, Ciquala, who lives all alone in a small Inuit village. One regular day, Ciqala goes home after a not so profitable fishing on the bay. Once home, he discovers in his chest a little elephant seal, who eats all his fishes and greet him with a burp.
Angry and feedless, Ciquala decides to chase the little seal away of his igloo. But then, he will find out that little seal could be the friend he had been waiting for so long...

Short

The short is almost done. Hold tight!
I only can tell you that it's set in Antarctica and the main characters are a boy and an elephant seal. I cross my finger and hope it will be successful.

Alien

This is the new 3D alien model I'm working at. I hope I'll get what I want. Now I'm practicing with visual effects and a new lighting engine.

Questo è il nuovo modello 3D di alieno a cui sto lavorando. Spero di raggiungere le mie prerogative. Ora sto facendo pratica con gli effetti speciali e un nuovo metodo di illuminazione.
